Regulated Market
Regulatory authorities
Operated by the regulated market Börse Berlin, Equiduct is supervised for fair and orderly trading by the following official institutions:
-
The Market Surveillance (Hüst) supervises trading and price fixing. It is the first point of contact if investors suspect irregularities in their executions.
-
The Exchange Supervisory Authority investigates malpractice and violations of the Stock Exchange Regulations.
-
The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) monitors potential insider dealing, market manipulation and any other potential irregularities, thus ensuring operational capability of the German securities and derivatives market.
Sovereignty to act as “Policeman of the Market”
As a stock exchange, Börse Berlin has the sovereignty to sanction action against suspected or actual malpractice immediately and effectively, thus keeping the market open, transparent and free of “rogue trading”. Also, due to legal information requirements, listed issuers have to comply with high transparency standards.
